We would like to introduce some of our residents:

Tosia 

Tosia - a Pygmy Hippo

Pygmy Hippos are found in Africa on Ivory Coast. They live in damp forests and swamps along rivers. Their lifespan is 35 years.
The species has been under strict protection since 1933.

Gosia
- a Himalayan Black Bear

The Himalayan Black Bear occurs in East, South, and South-East Asia. It feeds mainly on fruit, bamboo and insects. It is a loner. In the summer it builds nests in trees.

 

Kropeczka 

Kropeczka - Chapman's Zebra

It is found in South-East Africa, often together with other antelope species. The pregancy lasts 380 days. Every zebra has a unique stripe pattern. It lives about 28 years.

Baba - White Pelican

The White Pelican inhabits large lakes with islands, deltas of great rivers and sea lagoons. It nests in large groups. Pelicans' food consists mainly of fish.

 

Kangur 

The Red-Necked Wallaby

These Wallabies occur in South-East Australia and Tasmania. They feed on leaves and grass or, in dry periods, juicy roots. After about two weeks of pregnancy the female gives birth to one young. 

Madrala
MÄ…drala ("Smarty") - The Snowy Owl

It lives in Eurasian and Nort American tundra. It flies and hunts during the day. In its homeland it preys on lemings, grouse and white hare.
